Fertili-TEA
Fertility Boosting Tea By Dr. Jessica Bernardy
Enjoy this tea 3-4 times a day for the full medicinal effect. We’ve listed the latin names of the herbs in parenthesis in the recipe. This recipe is for a large batch, which will last you 3 days if you are drinking 3-4 cups a day. Just store in a glass jar in the fridge and reheat as needed. Pro tip: take a thermos with you to work, with your 3-4 cups, and drink throughout the day!
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Serving: 10 cups
1 T plus 1 tsp dried ginger (Zingiber officinale)
1 tsp whole cloves (Syzygium aromaticum)
2 T devils club root bark (Oplopanax horridus)
1/2 tsp chaste tree berries (Vitex agnus-castus)
2 tsp cardamom pods (Elettaria cardamomum)
2 T rosehips (Rosa spp.)
1 T sassafras root (Sassafras albidum)
3 T red clover flowering tops (Trifolium pratense)
2 T partridgeberry aerial parts (Mitchella repens)
2 T bee balm aerial parts (Monarda didyma)
Honey
In a large pot add 10-12 cups water and ginger, cloves, oplopanax, vitex, cardamom, rosehips, and sassafras. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer, and let cook for 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat. Add red clover, partridgeberry, and bee balm. Steep 10 min more. Strain out the herbs into a clean glass jar. Pour yourself a cup, add honey to taste, and enjoy! Store remainder in the fridge.
I am passionate about fertility work, I am passionate about creating healthy families, I am passionate about this tea!
I frequently work with people who want to improve their fertility naturally here in Hood River, White Salmon, the Gorge, and online. There's a lot that can be done naturally to work on fertility before resorting to costly and invasive measures. Start with this tea!
